DESIGN & CULTURE
A reason
for every relation.
Cultural Origin
STILL PORTICO 27 grew from the spatial order of East Asian garden corridors rather than a conventional four-legged dining table. Suzhou’s Canglang Pavilion offers a documented example of a double corridor linking interior and exterior scenery. The translation is conceptual: a continuous eave, rhythmic supports and an open space beneath—not a replica of historic architecture.
Form & Material
A softly rounded oak surface spans two recessed groups of timber–stone–timber supports. Transverse divisions near the ends, curved supporting shoulders and a continuous under-table structure give the table its identity. The approved visual direction specifies natural light American white oak in an ultra-matte finish and pale matte travertine.
Design Intent
The distinctive feature is the relationship between sheltering surface, stepped columns and central openness. The visually reduced supports belong to the approved V4 composition and should not be replaced by ordinary pedestal bases.

Production & imagery
DF confirmed production and acceptance of the approved design on 23 October 2026. Images shown are design visualisations, not photographs of the finished manufactured product.
